From The Winemaker: 'On the nose we see smoked sweet meats, boysenberry, darker cherry, kirsch doused with an Indian spice packet of star anise, clove and cardamon. In the mouth it has beautifully perfumed, fruity element with energy and verve adding complexity to the medium-bodied, textured raspberry red fruit. The now familiar Castagna tannins are exceptionally fine with dusty, spicy oak and lovely fresh acidity.'
